Committee on Community Services

This committee is responsible for community Service activities which include but are not limited to ; Veterans Day Parade, Handicamp Ramp Installations, Guest Speakers, Community Support, and Camp Kiwah. Chair Beverly Crumley

Handicap Ramps   

 The Texas Ramp Project is a statewide project to construct access ramps for people who use a wheelchair. Our Kiwanis Club has joined the state organization by developing local ramp construction crews to build wheelchair ramps in Hays and surronding counties for Texans who cannot afford them - "to free them from being homebound, and get them out into the community." Veterans Day Parade

This is an annual event consisting of a parade organized by the City of San Marcos. The TEAM assembles a float and decorates it with patriotic materials and organized elementary age children with bicycles decorate in patriotic materials to folow the float in a shortened portion of the parade. Camp Kiwah 

 The San Marcos Kiwanis Camp is located on the Blanco River approximately five miles Northwest of San Marcos. It is primarily used free of charge for youth. Reservations can be made by contacting

Community Suppport

This Committee is responsible for evaluating requests for contributions from the San Marcos Kiwanis Club. Those organizations or individuals requesting funds must complete a Contribution Request Form and Submit to this Committee or the president of San Marcos Kiwanis.
