Pancake/Silent Auction the Best Ever!

Even though we do not have any final details on this year's Pancake /Silent Auction Event, there was so much cooperation by so many people.  Not only did every member of our club pitch in with setting up, putting together all of the auction items, cooking the pancakes, cooking the sausages, running back and forth with refills through both session of regular pancakes, blueberry pancakes and even chocolate pancakes.  Those flipping the cakes didn't stop during both serving sessions.
There were so many extra persons helping make this event a very successful event, kids from K-Kids, from Key Club, from our new club, Circle K Club in the University, Medical Explorers, our special guest servers such as Coach Karen Chism served during the morning shift, and John Ferguson, former Kiwanian who helped served during the evening round.  We had people helping out also from our newest club from Kyle/Buda.
Everyone was in great spirits, and as soon as we get figures, we will post them on this bulletin.  A great big thanks goes out to everyone who came out to help, and stayed through both sessions.  We know that everyone was tired, but considering the satisfaction that those who were there who participated in anyway, received knowing that all of the funds raised will be going to the children, which is what Kiwanis is all about.
Also a great big thanks goes out to the wonderful staff from the Daily Record who spent the whole day taking pictures, interviewing people, all of which added to our club's 80th Anniversary in doing this project.  Thank you one and all!
