MEN IN HEAVEN
At the end of the age when all the believers were standing in line waiting to get into heaven, God appeared and said, "I want all the men to form two lines.  One line will be for the men who were the true heads of their households.  the other will be for the men who were dominated by their wives."
God continued, "I want all the women to report to St. Peter."
The women left and the men formed two lines.  the line of men who were dominated by their wives was seemingly unending.  The line of men who were the true heads of their household had one man in it.
God said to the first line.  "You men ought to be ashamed of yourselves.  I appointed you to be the heads of your households and you were disobedient and have not fulfilled your purpose.  Of all of you, there is only one man who obeyed me.  Learn from him."
Then God turned to the lone man and asked, "How did you come to be in this line?"
The man replied, "My wife told me to stand here."

SAUSAGES FOR SALE.

There were four boxes of sausages left over from the Pancake Day.  They are at Grins in storage.  If you are interested in purchasing some, come to the club meeting this coming Thursday and hope there are some left.  Some have already spoken up, and we don't know how many are left.

Even though the amount of Big Bucks was only $4.00,last Thursday, the winner was Andrew Gary!  Congratulations Andrew.  He donated it back to the Eliminate Project.  Remember the only way you can win is to be present.
We want to thank Charles Johnson and the Hays County EMS for bringing us a very informative and thought provoking program last Thursday, March 5th.  Filling in for Chris Alexander, former chief of the EMS, was Jim Swisher who did an outstanding job and portraying the vast responsibilities which our County EMS has.  At present, Jim is filling in as interim chief until a new chief is named.  Jim is the third in command, the Battalion chief or supervisor for the ES.  San Marcos EMS (SMHC EMS) is a dynamic, growth-oriental service with 57 full time and 20 PRN staff provide high quality patient care in Hays County.
The department currently operates eight ALS ambulances and one Battalion Chief 24/7 with additional BLS/ALS units possible in the near future.  The call volume is near 11,000 per year with roughly 6500 transports.  In addition to the full-time trucks, SMHC EMS has 4 reserve trucks that are ready to go into action at a moment's notice.  There is also a reserve command truck, and a special operations truck with equipment to handle large events.
Our program this coming Thursday, March 12 will be brought by Dr. Steve Furney.  He is going to bring Dr. Ron
Williams from the Department of Health and Human Performance who will speak on his research regarding
alcohol, drugs and dietary supplements.
He teaches at Texas State courses in Health and Wellness Promotion, Community Health, Worksite health Promotion and Community Health Planning and Evaluation.  His research interests include substance use prevention, tobacco control and prevention and Health promotion in integrative health care.  It sounds very down to earth concerns for all of us.  Let's have a full house to welcome him to our club.
BOARD MEETING FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH WILL BE ON THURSDAY, MARCH 19TH, AT 5PM AT CTMC.(Large Conference Room)
