REPORTS;
Rhonda passed out forms for ordering cookies and butter braids from Butter Braid Pastries. The forms were also sent via email. The return order date is Nov. 30th with payment at that time. Delivery is Dec. 7th. Kelli said to be sure and bring to that meeting a way to keep your pastries cold as they will be frozen products.
Rhonda reminded everyone that the program on Nov. 30th will be Hays County Brown Santa. Members are welcome to bring unwrapped gifts for children and teenagers. Makeup bags and lotion sets are suggestions for the older girls. For teenage boys, maybe Airpods or whatever you think they might like. Footballs, basketballs, and games are given to families rather than individuals so keep that in mind. You may also donate money if you so desire.
Kelli reported that the Veteran's Day Parade was a success.
She reminded everyone about the Interclub meeting in Marble Falls, Tuesday, Nov. 21st. She asked for a show of hands for who would be going. Carpools will be formed at 10:15 a.m. at Lowe's in front of the garden center.
Kelli said eighteen people showed up for the Social at Outback on the 15th. Another Social is scheduled for Dec. 6th with a suggestion by Moe to go to Olive Garden this time.
Moe said there are no new member inductions that were planned for today due to illness and doctor appointments. The inductions will be postponed until after Thanksgiving.
He mentioned that the Bluebonnet Lions is holding a 5K race on Saturday, Nov.18th. They need a helper for putting out cones for the course. Contact Moe and meet at the Baptist Church at 7:30 a.m. if you want to help. (Due to the lateness of getting this newsletter out, this event will already be over.)
PROGRAM:
Jennifer showed everyone how to get on our club's website and from there to ClubRunner. She went over a number of the links on the club website so everyone could find our history, where information is about the camp, the forms to fill out for using the camp and forms to apply for donation requests among other sources of information. This is a good website to share with people you would like to invite to join the club.
She then went over how to sign in for the first time to ClubRunner; how to create emails for club members; and where to edit member information.
There is much that was not covered due to time restraints. However, once on the site, members can investigate other tabs and links on their own.
UPCOMING PROGRAMS:
Nov. 23rd: Thanksgiving. No meeting.
Nov. 30th: Hays County Brown Santa
Regular Reminders:
Don't forget to click "like" and "share" on Facebook and other social media to promote the Kiwanis Club. We need to keep getting the club's name out there to promote our community involvement and to add new members to help in our endeavors.
Please continue sending/sharing any information you have for the last fifty years to Jennifer.
Remember to check the new calendar to keep up with what is going on and if you have anything you want posted, let Rhonda know by the date she needs it to have that information included.
