Maggie is Manager of Business Retention & Expansion
Magdalena (Maggie) Gillespie is a San Marcos native and an active partner for the region, having served communities and organizations along the IH-35 Corridor throughout her career including the Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce, Hays CISD, Texas State University San Marcos, and the City of San Marcos.
Maggie made a very informative Power Point presentation regarding the Greater San Marcos Partnership region which includes San Marcos, Wimberley, Dripping Springs, Buda, Kyle, Uhland, Lockhart and Luling. Hays county is greater in manufacturing and Caldwell county education.

Lon's CAMP REPORT FOR WEEKEND OF AUGUST 26, 2022
Troop 1954 San Marcos Boy Scouts - Mr. Spencer LeBxel Troop Master
16 members of the troop camped out at the McBride Wilson Youth camp.
In addition to camping they helped Jonathan Allen work on his Eagle Scout Project rebuilding the log steps going down to river.
They also repaired the broken pipes at the shower. Shower was very important since there was no water in river. It was 98 degrees when I was observing them working on steps on Saturday.
They also picked up rocks and make a large ring around the Fire Barrel. Jonathan and his brother will bring trailer to Lon's house to get road material he is giving them. Road Material will be used to place between the logs in making steps and also in the ring of rocks around the Fire Barrel to prevent catching grass on fire.
