We had one guest, Nate, who is Penny's son.
Kristi is recovering from ACL surgery that was done the day before this meeting. Luanne reported via text after the meeting that Chester made it home from the hospital in time for Christmas Eve. A wish is made for the speediest recoveries possible for both Kristi and Chester.
Kelli brought delish cupcakes to celebrate the December birthdays of Lon and Jeanne.
REPORTS:
Lon announced there will be a Board meeting this evening at 5:00 pm at Sunflower Bank.
He also said there will be a Round Table for next week's meeting on the 28th. On January 4th we will have a meeting with a program.
An estimate for repairs to the plumbing in the men's restroom in the Youth Camp is being sought. The sewer drain is stopped up.
Rick has met with the committee for the Pancake Dinner to set up a timeline for tasks to be done both before, during and after the event. He will present this at the board meeting.
Lon brought up the need for the variuos committees to meet and discuss tactics, budgets and timelines for accomplishing their goals and responsibilites. He used the Membership Growth committee as an example asking questions such as how to get potential members to come to club meetings and how to get them involved in committees. He also mentioned increasing participation in Sponsored Youth, such as K-Kids.
There was discussion, with Moe involved, about the Scholarship committee and what criteria is to be used for determining which students are awarded the scholarships.
Rick noted that committee guidelines, once established, should be put into ClubRunner so all members are able to access it.
