Lon said he is starting a new tradition that a new member will take home the Kiwanis opening/closing bell to polish starting with Stacie.
Rhonda: Rhonda brought cupbakes and donuts for the February birthday celebrations for Stacie Levao, Willie Garza, Luanne Johns, Penny Stavik, and James Collier.
She also auctioned off a dozen farm fresh eggs as a fundraiser for the Kiwanis Administrative fund. Cheryl had the winning bid at $11.
The calendar has more information now so check it out on the San Marcos Kiwanis homepage. Rhonda brought a few printed copies for those who do not regularly use computers.
Rhonda noted that the Clay Shoot is on April 27th. She emailed a packet to all members concerning getting sponsors and details of the event plus brought a few hard copies to the meeting. The committee will start collecting raffle items for the bucket raffle.
Kelli: She along with Beverly, Charles, Rhonda, and Kristin attended the Friends of Scouting Luncheon on Feb. 8th.
The program for our next meeting is the Lion's Club history by Dennis Gutierrez.
Our club is trying to come together with other clubs in a spirit of helping each other out in our different endeavors.
Pam: Flags will be put out next week on Monday for President's Day. This is the last flag day until Memorial Day. Cheryl has volunteered to help out with routes.
Rick: He gave an update on the progress for preparation for Pancake Day. Banners are still being modified. Some of the posters with directional signals are ready. Next week he will have another meeting to finalize all details.
