President Moe is reminding all of the Board members, that we will have a board meeting on Thursday, December 17th, at 5:30pm and it will be held at the Horizon Bay Nursing Home. This may help some members who get off work later than 5pm.

Greeters should arrive by 11:30am to greet people that come early. If you see someone sitting by themselves, ask if you can join them. Remember we are a friendly club and we want everyone glad that they came.

What a wonderful Christmas Interclub we had lastThursday at San Marcos BBQ. We had nearly 40 persons in attendance including members from Lockhart club, Marble Falls club and Sequin club. President Moe Johnson welcomed everyone, we sang "God Bless America", had the pledge to our American flag, and prayed. Then we had some excellent guitar and vocal music by a couple of very talented musicians, one which was Moe's son. A real treat was when John Polk came in in a wheel chair. He has been confined over in Deer Creek Rehabilitation Center for almost 2 months following hip surgery. John has always had a very positive, uplifting attitude toward his many health issues, that a special Certificate of Courage was presented to him from his fellow club members. He was quite overtaken with surprise. The activities ended with a humorous rendition of "Twas the Day After Christmas" and some carol singing. We thank everyone who attended this special seasonal get together.

TERRIFIC KIDS WAS 'TERRRR-III-FF---IIC!!
The Terrific Kids Fall Celebration was great. Those who came to help hand out 'freebies' to over 90 elementary children were: Randy Cook, Pam Cook, Moe Johnson, Del Brown, David Chandler, Kelli Whigham. We handed out pencils, bank purses, stickers, pins, certificates, bumper stickers and all sorts of items that were donated by several San Marcos businesses. It's a real joy to see how appreciative these kids are. There were quite a few parents and grandparents, as well as several school teachers and administrative persons, to include Mr Marish, the principal, and Kayla Shook, our Terrific Kids & K-Kids sponsor. Thanks to all who participated.
