Rick announced guests for today. Chase Dame visited again. Someday he may become a member. He has more than met the three meeting requirement. Laura Ledezma, the Marketing Outreach Specialist for the "Greater San Marcos Youth Council" also attended and spoke briefly about their outreach for volunteer and funding support needed. April is "National Child Abuse Prevention" month.
REPORTS:
April 17th will be the April birthday celebration meeting for John, Rick and Moe.
Jesse was not at the meeting today. He asked Rick to check if any additional cornhole teams have been found. There are still sponsorship opportunities, as well.
Rick said there are nine qualified students for our annual scholarship giving. Three are Key Club members at San Marcos High School. The club is giving out three scholarships of $1000 each.
There is no program today. Willie was scheduled to go over club finances and Moneyminder. Rick ran out of time to cover this. Hopefully it will be rescheduled.
La Cima confirmed they will continue with our Flag Program and will be adding more flags down Centerpoint Rd.
For those who place the flags, Nov. 4th will be the bad weather makeup day this year.
The net revenue for this program is $6000, part of which is donated to the San Marcos Summer Reading Program.
There is still no word on our Grant request.
Kristi Dame had to make an Amendment on the address provided for the 501(c)3 application. The club needs to change from 501(c)4 designation in order to get larger grants and donations.
Kristi would like help with getting sponsorships for Good Citizen Camp. If you know of any organization that could help, even if it is food and water, please ask if they would donate.
Camp workday is April 18th. Let Lon know if you can make it.
