Greeters should arrive by 11:30am to greet people that come early. If you see someone sitting by themselves, ask if you can join them. Remember we are a friendly club and we want everyone glad that they came.

PROGRAM SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER 3RD, 2015
After the Thanksgiving holidays, on Thursday, Dec. 3rd, Gary Strunk will be bringing Beatrice Wigonton, from the 'Rays of Hope Volunteer Organization'. Be sure and put it on your calendar. We will have more on her program in next week's bulletin. I wish you could see all of the pictures which Rays of Hope has put on the website.; It is wonderful, but sad at the same time, but Rays of Hope has been right in the middle of helping all of the people affected by this latest flood. Beatrice has been at the helm of guiding this ship of Hope. Do plan on being at our noon meeting this coming Thursday and hear Beatrice tell all about it in her own words..
DON'T FORGET THAT ON DECEMBER 10TH, WE WILL BE HOSTING OUR CHRISTMAS INTERCLUB CELEBRATION.
Mark your calendars....December 10th: Place: San Marcos BBQ on Hunter, almost across from The Mariposa. Invitations have been sent out to all of the clubs in our Division, and we want to have a great turnout. We'll be having 2 types of meat, and three sides (?). Dessert will be extra. The amount is $8.50 each. Pretty reasonable, if you ask me!. Let's try and have 100% come out from our club. President Moe is counting on all of us to be there. I believe the time is 12:00 noon. Spouses are included.

All Chamber of Commerce members and affiliates are invited to this event on Tuesday, Decembert 8th - 5:30 - 7:00 in the evening at 1301 Wonder World Drive Main Lobby.
THINK ON THIS A BIT.....WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE A DIFFERENT NAME FOR OUR 'WEEKLY BULLETIN'?
Are we tired of the name for our weekly bulletin. Does the title really reflect our club? Would you like to see another title for it. Well, why not come up with another name, if'n you want to! We are almost at the end of the year, lets come up with some ideas, and put them in a hat and see what comes out. If everyone agrees on a name or if the majority wins, then beginning the first issue of January 2016, we will start with the new title. What do you think. This is not only for our members to decide, but we are sending the bulletin, right now, to 80 emails. You all have a say so, so start shooting me your suggestions, and I'll keep track of them, and slip some of the suggestions in the December issues. Ok? Ok!
CONTINUAL THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS FOR JOHN POLK.
A little update on John: Glen Rydl and I went over lo see John last Wednesday, took some breakfast tacos over and we had a great time. John's spirits are high and he is doing everything that they tell him to do. He is getting the best of therapies, physical, speech and every other kind. He is still not allowed to put weight on his right leg, and gets around mainly with a walker on one leg or rides in a wheel chair. I do believe that they let him out for Thanksgiving. He misses all of his friends in Kiwanis, and promises to be back as soon as possible. He loves company, and would love to see people. John is not a quitter by any means, and he is going to lick this latest setback. God Bless you John. We love you.

Don't forget that this Thursday, December 3, is K-Kids Induction over at DeZavala. It would be wonderful to have at least ten Kiwanians there to encourage these young people. It will be held in the Cafeteria art 1:45. Allow time to check in at the main office and get a name tag. We will be presenting their officers as well as their advisors with special pins. Let's just go right from our meeting over there.
Then don't forget Friday, December 11th at 1:45 for Terrific Kids Fall Ceremony. We definitely need at least 10 members there to help pass out all of the goodies that oui city businesses have been generous in donating them. It will be at DeZavala, again in the cafeteria. Come early, pick out what you want to present and enjoy!

November 27, 1701.......Anders Celsius was born in Sweden. He invented the centigrade (Celsius) temperature scale commonly used ion Europe.
November 28, 1943........The Teheran Conference began, attended by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Soviet Premier Josef Stalin. Among the major topics discussed, a second front in Western Europe, resulting in D-Day, the seaborne invasion of Normandy in northern France on June 6, 1944.
November 29, 1864......U.SD. Army troops led by Colonel John Chivington attacked and killed at least 400 Cheyenne and Arapahoe Indians at Sand Creek, Colorado after they had already surrendered.
November 30, 1700-...........The Battle of Narva occurred as eight thousand Swedish troops under King Charles XII invaded Norway, defeating a force of 50,000 Russians.
