Our club's club advisor, Chad Burns, tells us that the Builder's Club, located at Miller Middle School is once again up and running. That is good news. They have already had a couple of projects underway, one which is gardening. The club was struggling for a bit, but thanks to Chad and others, it is getting a new start. Builder's Club is the largest service organization for middle school students (ages 12-14), and is student led. What exactly is service leadership. Kiwanis International empowers people at every stage of life to become competent, capable and compassionate leaders by helping them learn to help others. Service leadership is defined as the next step beyond service learning. Once a young person fully understands the concept of learning by helping others, he or she begins to grow personally as a leader. Good going Chad.
