LAST WEEK'S PROGRAM Del Brown brought an excellent program last Thursday. He brought Deputy Sheriff Steve Traeger and Lt. Dennis Gutierrez to talk about the next Hays County Sheriff's Citizen's Academy. It will be held February 22, 2018 and it covers 13 weeks of classroom and hands on training for citizens to learn what our Sheriff's Department does for our community. Lt Gutierrez is also heading up this year's Brown Santa program which started on November 9th and will conclude on December 16 with the delivery of food and toys.
Deputy Traeger was very explicit in recommending the Citizen's Academy program. Several of our club members took application blanks after expressing a real interest in taking the course.
