YOUTH SERVICE CLUBS:
          *Key Club: A service club for high school students to promote civic awareness and volunteer for projects, or assist with help for San Marcos.  Club Sponsor: Gary Strunk; Faculty sponsors:  Carrie Coburn, Elijah Stone
           *Builder's Club:  A service club for middle school level students to promote civic awareness and volunteer for projects, or assist with help for San Marcos. Club Sponsor: Chad Burns
           * K-Kids:  A service club for elementary students to introduce them to learning about civic responsibility and volunteer for service at various places such as the animal shelter, senior living facilities. and cleanup projects at school. Club Sponsor: Randy Cook; Faculty Sponsor: Brittany Bouzard
           * Terrific Kids:  A twice a year event where elementary students are recognized for achievement in school.  A rewarding event that takes about 2 hours of time. Club Sponsor: Pam Cook.
 
CAMP MCBRIDE WILSON YOUTH CAMP........We have a 7.5 acre camp on the Blanco River that is used by Scouts, Church Retreats, and other groups.  The camp needs regular clean up and maintenance for groups to use two or three times a year. PUMPKIN DASH 5K RACE:  This is a 5K race put on by the club as another fund raiser around Halloween.  Help with race duties on race day as needed.  About 3 1/2 hours of time. Club Coordinator:  Kelly Whigham, Moe Johnson.....Members: Entire Club
PANCAKE DINNER & SILENT AUCTION.... This is a major fund raiser for the club in February.  The entire club is expected to participate in these events.  Pancake cooks, servers, set up crews, batter mixers, and clean up are example of duties.  Silent auction items need to be solicited and set up on tables before the auction.  Afternoon and evening shifts to cover. VETERAN'S DAY PARADE:  The club has a float in the parade that needs to be decorated.  The club hosts a Children's Bike Brigade and donates bikes to kids.  Parade Coordinator: McBride Wilson.  Committee Members:  All Members.
INTER-CLUBS:  Our club visits other clubs in the area for fellowship and support Kiwanis.  An inter-club needs four members to go on a visit:  Club Coordinator: Rob Martin.
BUSINESS EXPOSITION :  The Chamber of Commerce sponsors a business expo for organizations to exhibit their business or club.  We have a booth to show the events our club supports and to recruit new members.  Club Coordinator: Tracy Herman
PROGRAM COMMITTEE:  The program committee schedules members of the club to provide a speaker for our weekly meetings.  Program Coordinator: Doug Balkman
COMMUNITY SUPPORT COMMITTEE:  This committee screens requests for funds from our club.  Requests usually come from areas of children's programs, women's shelter, or education.  Program Coordinator: Lon Shell.
BULLETIN EDITOR:  The club maintains a weekly bulletin of programs and news and information that is sent out to the members and district clubs in the area.  Program Coordinator:  Del Brown
WEBPAGE DESIGN:   The Kiwanis Club has a web page that often needs to be updated with recent activities or future events.  Program Coordinator: Lon Shell
SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE:   The club gives several $1,000 scholarships to San Marcos students for college finances.  The students are selected on a criteria set by the club and reviewed by the committee as to which students are selected.  Program Coordinator: Garry White.
PUBLIC RELATIONS AND PUBLICITY:   This committee provides the club with publicity in newspapers and through the Chamber of Commerce.  Program Coordinator: Kelli Whigham
MEMBERSHIP GROWTH COMMITTEE:   This committee is responsible for getting the club members to help with recruiting new members for our club.  Program Coordinator: Moe Johnson
